Double Column Tie

This is a variation on the typical double column (wrist, ankle legs, any two limbs) tie. Origin unknown. Model: June StPaul

Step 1 - Make a bight by folding the rope in half at the middle.

Step 2- Make a lark's head by passing the loose tails through the bight.

Step 3 - Place the lark's head around both wrists.

Step 4 - Place the arms a good distance apart. A good distance allows you to pull the ropes completely together between the wrists. Any distance less than this will work as long as you can still feed the ropes between the wrists.

Step 5 - Wrap the working ends (loose tails) around the wrist in the opposite direction of the bight until you have used enough of your rope.

Step 6 - Feed the tails through the secondary bight created by the wraps in Step 5.

Step 7 - Pull the ropes between the wrists and back around to the front.
